Elain Gonzalez made headlines back in 1999 when his mother died at sea and he arrived on shore in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His mom was seeking asylum in the United States from her homeland of Cuba.
Elian Gozalez's father won the right to have him returned to Cuba. Cuba has recently released an updated photo of Elian Gonzalez, now 16 years old. I have posted it here courtesy of ABC news.
